EMI Advisors, LLC is a technology and innovation consulting firm that provides advisory services across the health, human services and information technology sectors. Our team specializes in assisting our public and private clients bridge the gap between health and human services policies, technology innovation, and business requirements.
The Health Policy and Interoperability Analyst (HPIA) role requires a talented policy analyst who can adapt to a variety of analytical roles in multiple projects. Our advisory services include both public sector and commercial clients. The HPIA will work closely with project managers (PMs), subject matter experts (SMEs), and administrators to meet and exceed project requirements. This role is for a graduate student or newer graduate who can take ownership of responsibilities and follow through on commitments.
The HPIA candidate should demonstrate an interest in health IT, health care / public policy, health data interoperability, project/process management, and data visualization.
Working with PMs and SMEs, the HPIA will be responsible for assisting with the following:
• Health policy research and analysis
• Monitor health policy, and health care and health IT interoperability news, to keep clients informed
• Review public agency documents for clients
• Document creation, editing, management, accessibility/tagging, distribution
• Projects initiation, coordination, scheduling, planning, controlling, and closing
• Knowledge management; documentation development and maintenance
• Communications: projects, internal, and client-facing
• Meetings notetaking and distribution
The applicant should show proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly with strengths in Excel and PowerPoint. While our staff utilizes both Mac and PC, most of our deliverables are through Office.
We are looking for a background in customer service, with examples of business communications, e-mail etiquette, and the ability to perform under stress.
We need a good reader and listener, the willingness to get involved from Day 1, and a detail-oriented approach. We appreciate punctuality and an open mind.
This individual should have a background in information technology, particularly health IT.
EMI Advisors is a growing company, and we seek a graduate student or new grad who can gain from this experience and grow with us. This position includes remote work, and thus the individual should have a quiet and stable environment from which he or she can make and receive calls and other communications. There will be in-person meetings in the DC metro area, and thus the candidate must be local.
