Role:

EMI Advisors is seeking a dynamic and experienced Talent Manager to join our team and drive our firm's talent acquisition and management strategies. This is a 1099 Contractual hybrid role within the DC metro area with potential to move to full-time employment.  

The Talent Manager will be pivotal in identifying, attracting, and retaining top talent to meet our internal and clients’ needs. This includes curation of talent and measurement of talent density. The Talent Manager will develop and implement talent acquisition and retention programs, foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, and ensure the firm’s talent aligns with the firm’s strategic goals. This individual will work closely with our executive, administrative, and project management team to understand our specific staffing requirements, source and assess potential candidates, and assist in the overall talent management process. Salary range is a full-time equivalent rate of $90k - $120,000 annually. 

Job Status: 1099 Contractual PT (10-15 hours a week)

Location: Hybrid (Bethesda 60%; Remote 40%) 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with executives, administration, and project managers to understand the talent requirements and provide strategic advice on hiring and talent management. 

  • Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract and evaluate high-quality candidates for various positions. 

  • Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, and professional networks, to identify and attract qualified candidates.  

  • Screen and interview candidates to assess their qualifications, skills, and cultural fit within the firm’s and clients’ needs. 

  • Evaluate candidates utilizing digital tools, psychometric tests, and assessments.  

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting and candidate sourcing to offer negotiation and onboarding. 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and current candidates to create a talent pool and pipeline for future opportunities.  

  • Stay updated on industry trends, market intelligence, and competitor analysis to advise on the best talent strategies. 

  • Ensure that all recruitment activities follow relevant employment laws and regulations.  

  • Maintain accurate and organized records of candidate profiles, interviews, and client interactions.  

  • Create a recruitment and talent management process that adheres to our company’s digital operating model.  

  • Implement training and development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of current employees. 

  • Work with senior leaders to design and implement performance management processes to assess and reward employee contributions.  

  • Provide guidance and support to managers in conducting performance reviews and setting goals.  

  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives throughout the organization.  

  • Collaborate with leadership to create an inclusive workplace culture that values and respects differences.  

  • Monitor and report on diversity metrics, identifying areas for improvement.  

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in talent acquisition and recruitment and employee development, preferably in management consulting or a similar field. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 

  • Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques, including leveraging social media and professional networks.  

  • Familiarity with employment laws and compliance in the recruitment process. 

  • Proficiency in cloud-based business software and tools, including Microsoft Office. 

  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of digital transformation and digital operating models. 

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.  

  • Strong presentation skills and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees at all levels.  

  • Ability to work independently and remotely while meeting deadlines. 

  • Great attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude. 

  • U.S. Citizenship or ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. 

  • Ability to work within East Coast Standard Time zone and local to the DC metro area.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a Related Field. 

  • Current SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP. 

  • Experience and or knowledge of digital transformation. 

  • Lean Six Sigma training/certification(s).
