EMI Advisors Announces Two Strategic Hires to Boost Health Data Management and Exchange Advisory Services

WASHINGTON, DC; Dec. 1, 2021 — Emma Jones, health care informatics expert, and Karen Bertodatti, health communications and advisory consultant, have joined EMI Advisors, announced Evelyn Gallego, CEO of EMI Advisors.

Jones joins EMI as Director of Interoperability and will oversee the development and use of interoperability standards to support health care related content and workflows that advance the integration of clinical care, community health, social care, quality improvement, and population health. She serves as an HL7® co-chair and will contribute her expertise to projects in care coordination, data standards, and health data sharing. Jones has dedicated her career to applying the use of high-quality health care technology to increase health care quality and improve clinical outcomes. She is a registered nurse with over 17 years of experience in health care information technology and holds a Master of Science in Informatics and Outcomes Management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Bertodatti will serve as Senior Health Manager, driving forward EMI projects in care coordination and data information exchange. She most recently held an Associate Director role at APCO Worldwide, an advocacy communications and advisory consultancy headquartered in Washington, D.C., where she counseled industry clients on corporate messaging, thought leadership platforms, media relations, and patient advocacy programming. She holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.
