About the Role:

EMI Advisors seeks Data Visualization & Advanced Analytics Analysts dedicated to solving complex problems using advanced analytics, visualizations, and application solutions. 

 EMI Advisors is seeking innovative Data Visualization Analysts for immediate hire in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing and deploying advanced data analytics and visualization-driven decision support solutions that enhance enterprise performance, preferably within federal and commercial environments. 

In this role, you will contribute to data visualization development. You will own the scope and timeline for your projects and communicate statuses within the team and with external stakeholders. You will collaborate with product owners, managers, developers, and other analysts to ensure the timely delivery of exceptional value to the end customer. You will embrace and facilitate solutions-minded systems thinking and Lean Six Sigma methodologies throughout your projects.    

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the team in the transformation of raw data into actionable business insights.   

  • Visualize complex relationships using concepts from graph theory and driver relationships.    

  • Configure and implement analytics and data visualization solutions.   

  • Participate in daily program management activities supporting continuous delivery of executive analytics.   

  • Contribute to executive level briefings and solution demonstrations.   

  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves, lean in, and produce creative solutions to problems. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in performance improvement, data analysis, and reporting.   

  • Experience with visualization, business intelligence, and analysis tools such as Qlik, Tableau, and Power BI.   

  • Knowledge of descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.   

  • Knowledge of deterministic and stochastic modeling.   

  • Programming skills: SQL, Python or R.   

  • Ability to design, develop and maintain scripts and queries for data mapping and extraction tasks for multiple systems and platforms.      

  • ETL experience.   

  • Ability to analyze problems, think quickly, and resolve conflict within a changing environment.   

  • Great attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude.   

  • U.S. Citizenship and authorized to work in the United States.   

  • BS or BA degree in Engineering, Statistics, Math, Economics, Business, Computer Science, Cognitive Science or similar.   

  • Exceptional communication skills with a talent for synthesizing complex concepts into clear, actionable insights. 

  • Passion for digital transformation and digital innovation. 

  • U.S. Citizenship or ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Qlik Sense.   

  • Experience with MS Visio and MS Power Automate.    

  • Experience working with/creating d3 extensions.    

  • Experience in the Department of Defense.   

  • MS or MA degree in Engineering, Statistics, Math, Economics, Business, Computer Science, Cognitive Science (or equivalent experience). 

  • Agile and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification.   

  • Strong interest in technology, innovation, artificial intelligence, supply chain management, or financial management.   

  • Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance. 

  • Certification in User Experience Design, Human-Centered Design, or Human-Centered System Thinking. 

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, D3) and basic front-end web development. 

  • Experience designing interactive web-based data visualizations with custom extensions. 

  • Experience applying graph thinking concepts and designing interactive graph visualizations.   

  • Familiarity with Edward Tufte’s design principles and advanced visualization techniques. 

  • Experience in high-stakes, fast-paced environments, particularly within Federal or State Agency projects.
